Meet Cynthia
2026 Cohort
Cynthia Mbagwu is from Nigeria and is a Ph.D. student in Computational Cultural Studies. She completed her B.A. in English and Literary Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and her M.A. in English (with specialisation in literature, cultural studies and digital humanities) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Cynthia's research interests lie at the intersection of Black Studies and decolonial digital humanities, with a particular focus on preserving and interpreting African cultural memory through literary and cultural analysis, computational methods and digital curation.
